Day One Support for VMware View 4.0 featuring PCoIP E-mail
Friday, 20 November 2009 13:41

LISCON, VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program member,  will support VMware View 4.0 and its PC over IP (PCoIP) display protocol from the day of its release on for selected LISCON devices.

LISCON recently achieved the VMware Certification for its LISCON OS (LISCON Managed Desktop) and is the first Thin Client vendor  to announce the support of View 4.0 for LMD and a variety of Linux-based LISCON Clients and all existing Vmware View 3.1 capable LISCON devices with the new software release in near future.

Most of LISCON devices, certified with VMware View 4.0,  are expected to be listed on the VMware Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) very soon.

The advanced PCoIP protocol offers the possibility to use a thin client for applications which traditionally require a powerful PC.  With LISCON customers can now run their powerful  applications on a Thin Client with low energy costs and experience all benefits of Thin Client computing and virtualization.

“The excellent and close partnership with VMware as a TAP member gives us the possibility to get Vmware's new developments in an early stadium. So LISCON can test and develop our solutions parallely and deliver these new products as soon as possible. Thus LISCON assures its position as a technical leader in the thin client and virtualization business,” says Emanuel Pirker, CEO at LISCON.
